WREATHS Laid at St Annes and Lytham |
On a pleasant late Saturday afternoon my wife Mary and I, as part of our daily exercise, took a walk to the St Anne’s Cenotaph. As I’m a member of Semper Fidelis Mark Lodge I had the honour of laying the remembrance poppy wreath on behalf of the Mark Province of West Lancashire. It was a very thought provoking moment as the town was eerily quiet, at a time when it would, in normal times, been very busy. There were twelve wreaths in all around the monument. |
On Sunday morning just after eleven o’clock W. Bro. John Ogden, who is also a member of Semper Fidelis Mark Lodge laid a Provincial Mark wreath at the Lytham Cenotaph, he did notice several other masons nearby but due to the social distancing did not speak to anyone. |
